The Simple Question That Isn't Really That Simple.

The other day, I was approached and ask a simple question: What's the one career change tip that I need to consider above all others?

My response: Determining your next career step requires the courage to stand up for yourself.

You have to make a deliberate choice to make a career change that matters to you.

This career change tip emphasizes that you must:

  • Embrace a career that you were made to do.

  • Push through all of the naysayers and remain intensely focused on making it happen for yourself.

  • Move into your new career strategically.

You must be purposeful and realistic about what you stand for.

You must define what it is that you want to do as well as what you don't want to do.

This is career change tip is simplistic. I know.

But it is one of the most instrumental career change factors that will determine whether or not a career change is really the one for you.

You must make your next career change one that you can live with.

One that allows you to be who it is that you really are and do those things in a career that matters to you.

You must choose the career change that supports your passion and supports your life.

You only have one life...use it wisely.

Be encouraged to stand up for who you are and what it is that you want to do with your life.
